疟疾大多通过雌性按蚊叮咬传播。共有400多种按蚊,其中约有30种是较严重的疟疾病媒。所有这些主要病媒物种均在黄昏至拂晓期间叮咬。传播严重程度取决于寄生虫、病媒、人类宿主和环境等有关因素。
