工兵一号型地下金属探测器均采用德国*技术设计，且采用德国优质元器件制成。
外壳采用高强度ABS工程塑料，具有强度高、重量轻、寿命长；
能有效准确区别黑色金属和有色金属功能；
设有地平衡线路，能消除“矿化反应”带来的影响，有效提高探测的深度及准确率；
具有欠压工作报警装置；
采用重复的充电电池进行工作；
通过喇叭或耳机识别探测金属声音。
