进口气动隔膜泵以压缩空气为动力，当压缩气体进入配气阀，配气阀会将压缩气体压入泵其中一腔从而推动隔膜片运动挤压液体流出，然而泵的另一腔泵因为被拉出而吸入液体。当隔膜片到达终点，配气阀机构自动将压缩空气引入泵腔另一端，推动隔膜片朝相反方向运动，从而使两个两个隔膜片在泵体的两个腔做往复运动抽动液体流动。
