Installation guide and precautions:

The IRTP300L metal casing features an M18 X 1 thread, allowing for direct installation or installation via an installation bracket. The adjustable installation bracket facilitates easier adjustment of the measuring head.

Power requirements: Attention should be paid to the power supply voltage range and connection polarity.

Due to the presence of bright background light (especially direct sunlight or strong light) on the target being measured, it can affect the accuracy of the measurement. A suitable object can be used to block the direct light from the target to eliminate the interference from background light.

A thermal sensor utilizes the radiant heat effect, causing the detection device to receive radiant energy and subsequently increasing its temperature, which in turn alters the performance of a certain component within the sensor related to temperature. By detecting changes in one of these performances, radiation can be detected.

Infrared radiation is a type of light invisible to the human eye, but in fact, it is an objective substance like any other light. Any object with a temperature above absolute zero will emit infrared radiation to its surroundings. Infrared radiation is located beyond the red light in the visible spectrum, hence the name. Its wavelength range is roughly within the spectral range of 0.75~100μm.

The physical essence of infrared radiation is thermal radiation. The higher the temperature of an object, the more infrared rays it emits, and the stronger the energy of infrared radiation becomes. Studies have found that the thermal effects of various monochromatic lights in the solar spectrum gradually increase from violet light to red light, and the significant thermal effects occur within the frequency range of infrared radiation. Therefore, infrared radiation is also referred to as thermal radiation or thermal rays.

Sensing principle

Thermal sensors utilize the radiant heat effect, causing the detection device to receive radiant energy and subsequently increase in temperature, leading to changes in the performance of a specific column within the sensor that is related to temperature. By detecting changes in one of these properties, radiation can be detected. In most cases, radiation is detected through the Seebeck effect, where the device undergoes a non-electric physical change after receiving radiation, which can also be measured after being appropriately converted into an electric quantity

Notes:

1. Power supply requirements: Attention should be paid to the power supply voltage range and connection polarity.

2. The lens should be kept clean, and dirt or dust on the lens can be wiped away with alcohol or a soft cloth.

3. Due to the presence of bright background light (especially direct sunlight or strong light) on the measured target, it may affect the accuracy of the measurement. A suitable object can be used to block the direct light from the target to eliminate the interference from the background light.
