The relay output module HE 5826 controls up to four signals from the higher-level bus system and forwards these to connected systems or installations over four potential-free change-over contacts. The output logics can be inverted individually. The communication with the bus coupler takes place over an asynchronous serial RS-485 connection. In the event of service, the module can be exchanged quickly and without complications in running operation (Hot Swap). The signal status of the relay outputs is indicated via status-LEDs. The outputs and the logics area are isolated galvanically from each other. Module errors and errors with overload, shortcircuit or missing supply are detected and indicated. In the event of error the outputs switch to a previously defi ned, safe state (Fail Safe).
