聚氨酯密封胶（polyurethanesealant）系以聚氨酯橡胶及聚氨酯预聚体为主要成分的密封胶。此类密封胶具有高的拉伸强度、优良的弹性、耐磨性、耐油性和耐寒性，但耐水性，特别是耐碱水性欠佳。可分为加热硫化型、室温硫化型和热熔型三种。其中室温硫化型又有单组分和双组分之分。其广泛用于建筑物、广场、公路作为嵌缝密封材料，以及汽车制造、玻璃安装、电子灌装、潜艇和火箭等的密封。
Polyurethane sealant (polyurethanesealant) is a kind of sealant made of polyurethane rubber and polyurethane prepolymer. This kind of sealant has high tensile strength, good elasticity, abrasion resistance, oil resistance and cold resistance. But it has good water resistance, especially alkali resistance and poor water resistance. It can be divided into three kinds: heating vulcanization type, RTV type and hot melt type. Among them, the room temperature curing type has one component and two components. It is widely used in buildings, squares, roads as caulking sealing materials, sealing and auto manufacturing, installation of glass, electronic filling, submarines and the rockets.

聚氨酯密封胶也有一些缺点。如:不能*耐热;浅色配方容易受紫外光老化;单组分胶贮存稳定性受包装及外界影响较大，通常固化较慢;高温热环境下可能产生气泡和裂纹;许多场合需要底涂。同时聚氨酯密封胶耐水性也较差，特别是耐碱水性欠佳。
Polyurethane sealants also have some disadvantages. Such as: not long-term heat; light formula vulnerable to UV aging; single component storage stability by packaging and external influence, usually curing slowly; may produce bubbles and cracks under high temperature environment; many occasions need primer. At the same time, polyurethane sealant is poor in water resistance, especially alkali resistance, poor water quality.
聚氨酯密封胶的主要用途是土木建筑业、交通运输业等。如在日本，约75~80%的聚氨酯密封胶用于建筑，15%用于汽车、机械制造等，5%用于土木及其它方面。

在建筑方面的具体应用有:混凝土预制件等建材的连接及施工缝的填充密封，门窗的木框四周及墙的混凝土之间的密封嵌缝，建筑物上轻质结构(如幕墙)的粘贴嵌缝，阳台、游泳池、浴室等设施的防水嵌缝，空调及其它体系连接处的密封，隔热双层玻璃、隔热窗框的密封等。
