Introduction
Use the procedure below to install the following Monitor Zone Adapter Modules (ZAMs):
. The 2-wire Monitor ZAM, Style B (formerly Class B [see Figure 11).
. The 2-wire Monitor ZAM, Style D (formerly Class A).
VZAM (see Figure 2).=- _ . -
Monitor ZAMs are connected to a 4020,4100+, or 4120 Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) by a
single/twisted wire pair (MAPNET II’). Monitor ZAMs receive data over this wire pair; a separate pair is
required for 24VDC power. All circuits are power-limited only if operating powerMAPNET II
communications are provided by a 4020 Control Unit or by a system with the 4100/4120-6050 power-
limited option. If other power supplies or systems are used, no circuits are power-limited.
