鸡单纯疱疹病毒Ⅱ型抗体【HSVⅡ-Ab】ELISA试剂盒可以：（1）免疫酶染色各种细胞内成份的定位。（2）研究抗酶抗体的合成。（3）显现微量的免疫沉淀反应。（4）定量检测体液中抗原或抗体成份。
目前使用的酶联免疫检测方法很多，其种类按检测目的可分为：
间接法——用于测定抗体
双抗体夹心法——主要用于测定大分子抗原

传统的ELISA结果只报告“阳性”或者“阴性”，但不能解决“灰区”的问题，因此引入“可疑”的报告方式是比较合理和科学的，同时对结果做必要的说明，如“结果已经复查，建议定期复查或定量检测”；对于HBeAb、HBcAb检测，由于各试剂盒CO值差异及变异系数大等因素，结果缺乏可比性，位于CO值附近的标本复查结果阴阳性只是概率事件，另外HBcAb存在原倍和1：30检测模式及定量检测模式，减小室内变异的同时必须引入阳性和弱阳性的报告方式。
