紫外灯耐气候试验箱用于模拟由日照、雨淋及结露等自然气候对材料造成之劣化。由于阳光对材料的劣化大多来源于紫外线波段（详见附录），紫外试验箱相对于氙灯试验箱造价低廉且光劣化能力强等优点，故为多数用户优先考虑的机型。
